George Li joins the Orchestre National de Lyon and conductor Leonard Slatkin on 19 February 2017 for a performance at New Jersey Performing Arts Centre in Newark, the first of two debuts this month. Li joins the orchestra to perform Liszt Piano Concerto No.1. Li’s recent performances of have received high acclaim by the press:
“George Li has energy to spare: the American pianist maintains his presence with even the softest chord, the softest passing note. His rhythmic concentration is in peak condition… As lively and refreshing as spring water, the many scales of the First Concerto sounded like so many slides: here is a musician who enriches more than he holds back, with expressiveness that is breathtaking in its clarity.”
