George Li performs with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev in a ‘Prokofiev Marathon’ at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York on 24 February 2016. In a concert which features all of Prokofiev’s Piano Concertos, Li performs Piano Concerto No.1, with fellow Intermusica artist Daniil Trifonov and Sergei Babayan performing the other two concerti. The concert is part of the ‘Mariinsky at BAM’ series, a two-year residency of the Mariinsky theatre at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Li recently performed with the Mariinsky Orchestra in Beijing in December 2015, when he also gave a brilliantly received impromptou recital.
